The thing about Mickadoon's is that everyone is having an old-fashioned good time. Bartenders pour drinks with smiles on their faces, waitresses crack jokes to the regulars and friendly bar-stool dwellers strike up conversations with you while you wait for a table.

This pub is pretty tiny and comes close to crumbling its foundation with the amount of business it sees. If you stop in on a Friday or Saturday night, the place will be packed; so packed in fact that you will barely find room to stand and wait for a table.

The restaurant is located inside Orland Bowl. If you catch a lucky break (that is, you're waiting during open bowl hours), squeeze a game in to work up an appetite.

The choice of seating is pretty scarce: a few booths, a handful of rounds, some four tops and a row of high-tops. Once you secure your spot, you're invited to blend in with the crowd as long as you want. The place may be busy, but you'll never be asked to give up your seat if you’re camping out, nursing a pitcher of beer.

Mickadoon's is famous for two things: its pizza and its fish fry on Fridays. Grab a herd of friends and order a supreme family-sized pizza for about 20 bucks. Your choice of ingredients are predictable (green peppers, bacon, mushroom, onion, etc.) but delicious nonetheless. On Fridays eat all the fish or shrimp you want for $8.95 (includes either soup or salad and choice of potato).
