If you don't mind waking up the next morning with a few bruises and some soreness, Hogs & Honeys may be the place for you. Ride the infamous mechanical bull that takes up almost half of the room as the rest observe with smiles and wild cheers. Of course, you could just avoid the bull, a few black and blue spots (and a chance for some embarrassment) by just having a good time with friends in this Weed Street institution.
Though the name and the bull give off a very southern hillbilly type of atmosphere, this place is really just another place for heavy alcohol consumption and friends. While the drinks aren't exactly cheap, look out for weekly specials that include $3 you-call-it Tuesdays. The bartenders who pour your drinks are also quite friendly. In a slow night, you may just get a free shooter.
As for the decor, Hogs is all about organized chaos and randomness. This includes sticker-filled walls and a large star in the back made up of beer cans, hanging bras, singing fish, hula-hoops and road signs. Rock music plays loudly on speakers while occasionally the large flat-screen television behind the bar plays movies like Sweeny Todd.
So if you're looking for just a good time to let loose, Hogs has all the ingredients for that. With a mechanical bull always looming close to you, Hogs is not a place for anyone who takes themselves too seriously.
