If you really miss school picture day, head to Lumen Friday night for a session iwth Chicago's own international celebrity photographer, Marc Moran. The event will feature a live photo shoot from 9 p.m. to midnight (sorry, plastic combs will not be provided) as well as an interactive photography experience all night long. Struggling actors may want to take advantage of the chance for a free headshot. And speaking of celebrities, word has it that R&B star Ne-Yo will be stopping by the lounge after his show at the Chicago Theatre.

Acme Miniature Flea Circus 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday at Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art; $12 ($10 for seniors, students, and center members; $8 for children under 12) A popular pastime during the Victorian Era, the flea circus has essentially been exterminated with the rise of television, but this acclaimed show aims to bring it back. With a purple top hat and majestic voice, Professor A.G. Gertsacov directs Midge and Madge, stars of the Acme Miniature Flea Circus, to pull chariots, dance on a tight wire and perform other circus-like stunts. Come one, come all...but leave your dogs at home.
Onekindradio 2nd Annual Listener Party

More than just a catchall shuffle party, this event - hosted by international, independent internet music station Onekindradio - celebrates all things indie with a top-caliber, eclectic music line-up, concert ticket giveaways and professional photographer Ryan Mitchell's famous photo booth.
FamilyDance Matinee presents Mordine & Company Dance Theater 3 p.m. Saturday at the Dance Center of Columbia College; $10 adults, $6 children Celebrating its 10th season, FamilyDance Matinee brings families together to see dance and to dance themselves. This Saturday, an hour-long family-oriented program by Mordine & Company Dance Theater (currently performing "Illuminations," a program in honor of its 40th season) begins with an optional (and free) hands-on movement workshop for children and adults at 2:15 p.m.
