Five things to do in Chicago, from the obvious to the absurd.

They love a parade
South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade
Noon Sunday
If you're not already all Irish-ed out from the downtown parade and river-dyeing on Saturday, head to the South Side for an experience like none other. Expect an overload of bagpipe bands, marching bands, community representatives and lots and lots of drinking. Hitch a ride with one of the many bars offering bus service (for a fee, of course).

Seven Deadly Sins Tasting Menu
5 p.m.-midnight Friday at Blue 13; $77
In honor of Friday the 13th (that's two months in a row, if you hadn't noticed), this River North restaurant is serving up a sin-inspired menu. Offerings include "Lazy Ravioli" (Sloth), "Shellfish Impersonating Oysters" (Envy) and "Angry Lobster" (Wrath). No word on whether Gwyneth Paltrow's head will be incorporated into the evening.

Project FOCUS Fundraiser Party
7 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday at Simone's Bar
Doing some good never felt so good. Head to this brand-new Pilsen spot on Sunday to help support an art exhibition that will educate the Chicago community about art, art therapy and international development. DJs Sidewords, Man-o-Wax and Marques will spin, and Jake Vinsel and his band will perform live jazz. Twenty-five percent of all proceeds from food and drinks at the back bar will go to Project FOCUS.

Kids' Expo 2009
9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Tinley Park Convention Center, 18501 S. Harlem; $10, free for kids 12 and under
What do Southpaw, Tommy Hawk and Ronald McDonald have in common? They'll all be in Tinley Park this weekend for this event, which includes over 130 exhibits of family interest. Find a clown for your next party, pick a summer camp, or just ride the mini-ferris wheel. You'd have to try really hard to get bored.

Dymaxion Family Day
11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Museum of Contemporary Art; free
Need more family time? Kids can take part in fun experiments inspired by the work of Buckminster Fuller during this special Family Day at the MCA (they're usually on Saturdays). Hands-on options include building 3-D play environments, re-creating Fuller's famous dome and mixing and matching words and images.
