Dr. Dog plays Friday at Double Door. Dr. Dog plays Friday at Double Door.
1. Dr. Dog
8:30 Friday at Double Door; $15
Dr. Dog was just another no-name retro rock group until they toured with My Morning Jacket. This turned out to be a very good decision. They play with folksters The Cave Singers and country twangers Golden Boots.

2. Denis Leary
8 p.m. Saturday at Chicago Theatre; $49.50-$75; get tickets here
America's favorite comedian/firefighter/hockey fan headlines the Rescue Me Comedy Tour, which not-so-coincidentally coincides with the premiere of the FX hit show's fifth season. Expect Leary's raunchy brand of stand-up humor, complimented by special guests -- most likely a few from the TV show.

3. Ottoman Empire Dining Culture at Chicago History Museum
10 a.m.-noon Saturday; $3-$5
Historian Channon Mondoux will discuss recipes, customs and give a narrative of a simulated dinner. ChicaGourmets will host a post-lecture lunch at Roscoe Village's Turquoise Cafe (cost $42-52).

4. The Bunny Hop Pub Crawl
8-11 p.m. Saturday; $15
Hop your way around Lincoln Park/Lakeview bars McGee's, Wrightwood Tap, Durkin's, Duffy's Tavern, Redmond's and Maeve. The entrance fee includes trolley service and a bunny buffet, plus domestic drafts and Easter punch. Call (773) 868-8073 or click here for more info.

Lily Allen plays the Riv on Sunday. Lily Allen plays the Riv on Sunday.
5. Lily Allen with Natalie Portman's Shaved Head
7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Riviera Theatre; $27.50
Three reasons to like Lily Allen: She's feuded with Amy Winehouse, she's covered Britney Spears (we think this is good) and, most importantly, she can sing with the best of 'em. Her poppy sass comes through on the latest It's Not Me, It's You. As for the opener, well, the name itself makes it worth checking them out.
