Viking Cooking School and Culinary Shop Review
I took the Basic Knife Skills Class and I thought it was GREAT! The class exceeded my expectations. I learned a tremendous amount and felt it was time well spent and excellent value. The chef was personable and very informative. A bonus was keeping the Viking Apron.

Geja's Cafe Review
It is the best fondu restaraunt i have ever been to. Such a cozy, romantic atmosphere (i made my boy bring me), nice service, and well worth the decent price of the evening. Thier 44 years of practice serving people shines through without a doubt.

African Caribbean International Festival of Life Review
Me and my wife have attended the festival for the last 5 years and we love it although we would love to see the Afro-Latin connection of the caribbean(Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, & Cuba) represented more. Salsa & merenque with all of its 'natural' instruments & percussions & foods got their roots from the "Motherland" also and it should not be forgotten!

Main Street Smokehouse Review
This place is a real treat. It is exactly what the libertyville area is looking for.... great BBQ. It really fills a void in the morket here. I too experienced some of the opening kinks when I went (I.E. all out of meats, soda machine, heat), but the guys working were so nice and apologetic that they gave me free desert and cornbread. Can't go wrong with that. Since I have been back, those kinks seem to have been worked out, so unfortunately no more free food ;( Oh well. Be sure to try their brisket; it melts in your mouth and tastes superb.

Zebda Review
Finally, sophisticated, healthy food in Mayfair. For years my coworkers and I have lamented the lack of decent food near the intersections of Montrose, Elston & Pulaski. Just tried Zebda and had the Tandoori chicken sandwich (more like a salad on flatbread.) It was delicious! PLEASE, please visit this place - we need to keep it around and thriving. It's about time!

Frida's Review
Nice wait staff, good food. The margarita was very good - much more balanced salt/sweet ratio than the typical candied variety at most places. Menu was a bit same-y, but the place just opened. They will be rolling out a new menu every week for the first month or two. I am interested in going back to check out their brunch, mostly because of the positive vibe.

Taxim Review
I loved, loved, loved my meal at Taxim. May favorites are the okra, lentils, and the roasted chicken. I finished with the most incredible dessert- a cream cutsard in a flaky pastry. The powdered sugar and fresh lemon added a twist that was perfect. This place is one of the best new restaurants in Chicago- I wish them well.

have gone to this fest for the past 4 years and it gets better and better every year....you can't beat the food quality and price - all age ranges have something to do. Many great local bands to perform this year.

Gwendolyn Whiteside Review
Gwendolyn does an amazing performance in K of D! She is able to portray 16 different characters in such a way that the audience can easily distinguish one character from another. A must see!

Flow Review
I have been going to flow for almost 3 years and love it. It has given me great results with my mind and body - something I had not found until I went to Flow. The instructors are great - very attentive and knowledgeable. The classes are typically small (less than 8) so each person in the class gets individual attention to maximize her workout. There are a variety of classes to take so your workout is always fun and new!

Market Bar and Restaurant Review
Enjoyed myself. Went with about 8 girlfriends and the atmosphere was incredible. The food was good, all except the nachos....not good. The wings, shrimp, chicken were all good and the drinks great!

Carbon Review
I could smell the smoke from this place while going on to dinner at Ricobene's. I think it is under the same ownership. The fish tacos were amazing! Delectable pieces of tilapia, with a tequila lime sauce and shredded cabbage on warm tortillas mmmm good....for your side, have an order of the "corn hash" it is a bowlfull of corn sweetness with a little heat from the chili powder...and save room for the chocolate quesadilla for dessert, you won't be sorry you did!

Casual, inexpensive, tasty, with some outdoor seating and limited beer selections, but definitely delicious.

one sixtyblue Review
Michael Jordan owned restaurant with a cool vibe upon entering. The bar has comfortable couches and a great ambiance. We were promptly seated. Alot of energy in the main dining area, but we had no problem with conversation. Beautiful decor, exellent service. Fit for foodies. Chef Mike McDonald, formerly worked in Cabo San Lucas at the exlusive LaPamilla, came over and spoke with us. We started with scallops and a key lime caesar salad, both fresh and excellent. The bread was decent, nothing exceptional, the main entree was delicious. I had the Ribeye which was prepared to perfection, the hash brown potatoes with carmelized onions are unforgettable. I heard alot of raves over the date cake dessert, but I did not find that to be more than mediocre. The kids dessert was wonderful, an assortment of items, smores, ice cream sundae cupcake etc. The chef always leaves a complimentary dessert at the end of your meal. I will return and I give this 4.5 stars. Very nice!
